Old School Brazil Conference
August 25 – August 28 UTC+0
The purpose of the Old School Conference is to present to the present generation the rich, sufficient, and inerrant content of the Holy Bible, which is the only sure foundation for Christian faith and practice. We understand that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the main point of Christian doctrine (Romans 1.16) and that a sure mark of salvation in those who have heard, repented and believed in the Gospel is sanctification and growth in the image of Christ (Romans 12.14, 8.28 -30).
In this way, our mission is to instruct, encourage and empower people for a solid, vibrant Christian life and based on sound doctrine, so that the Gospel of Christ is known and lived experientially, for the glory of God and the benefit of human souls.
We have as a doctrinal standard the great Reformed Confessions of Faith (especially the London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689 and the New Hampshire Baptist Confession of Faith of 1833). Furthermore, we are aligned with a long and ancient tradition of godly men, having as theological and biblical ministry references Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, John Calvin, John Knox, William Perkins, John Owen, Samuel Rutherford, Thomas Watson, John Bunyan, Jonathan Edwards, David Brainerd, George Whitefield, Charles Spurgeon, William Carey, Hudson Taylor and Martyn Lloyd-Jones.
